The Story of HappyHourCruises.com
3 entrepreneurs gathered in a bar one afternoon (no, not that type of bar — it was only for drinking). They were kicking around ideas that could go “viral” in the cruise industry. They came up with this really, really cool idea about how they could do innovative (and wacky) retailing of cruises on the internet.
What to call this idea… that was the subject of a lengthy debate. One of the gents, while staring at the bottom of an almost empty umbrella drink, came up with the idea around which this new business would be built — HappyHourCruises.com. Eureka! That’s what we will call the business.
Several weeks later, someone to remembered to reserve the domain name (thank you GoDaddy promo codes). We got right to work at putting that domain name on a shelf and letting it gather dust for eleven months.
[Perhaps we need to repeat our warning from above -- "prepare to be disappointed". We recommend that you stop wasting your time and go check out our "little black book of money saving cruise tips and secrets". OK, back to the story...]
So, where we last left off, our heros (and I’m using that term very loosely) had left the bar and did nothing for a couple of weeks. Then, they reserved that awesome domain name, HappyHourCruises.com. Then 11 months passed where they did absolutely nothing with it.
By the time that they decided to do something with that domain name (create this blog), they had totally forgotten what the original intent was of HappyHourCruises.com. Maybe, someday, they will remember those great ideas from the bar that evening, and, the true purpose of HappyHourCruises.com will be realized. Until then, we can only wait.
The Moral of our Story…
When you are told that you are “going to be disappointed”, you should have listened to our advice and read our “little black book of money saving cruise tips and secrets” instead. We apologize that this is 60 seconds of your life that you will not get back.
